Our recent 8-day journey through Arunachal Pradesh and Northeast India was a truly memorable experience, and a large part of the credit goes to Akash and the entire Ela Tripo team.
What impressed me most was not just the itinerary they curated, but the level of personal attention, responsiveness, and genuine care they demonstrated throughout the planning and execution of the trip.
Our travel planning itself was far from straightforward. Initially, we were considering Arunachal Pradesh, then there were discussions about our children joining us, which led us to explore alternate destinations in South India. Plans changed multiple times, dates shifted, and there was considerable back and forth before we finally decided to proceed with the original Arunachal itinerary.
During this period, I had spoken with several travel agencies, including larger players and local Northeast operators. However, Akash stood out from the very first conversation. He came across as knowledgeable, reassuring, friendly, and deeply familiar with the terrain and travel realities of the region.
Unfortunately, due to a communication gap from both sides and our own busy schedules, there was a delay in finalizing the arrangements. By the time we confirmed, we were barely a week away from departure, and many of the hotels and properties we had originally discussed had already sold out because of the unusually high tourist rush this season.
This is where Akash and his team truly demonstrated their commitment. Rather than giving up on the plan, they worked tirelessly to find alternatives. We explored multiple options, routes, and property combinations. At one stage, Akash even suggested redesigning part of the itinerary through Shillong and Cherrapunji to ensure a better overall experience. Right until a few days before departure, he was actively coordinating accommodations and refining the plan to make everything work.
From the moment we landed, the team remained consistently available and supportive. While a few hotel arrangements were understandably different from what we had originally envisioned, the way the team handled every situation made all the difference.
One thing that stood out was their flexibility. We made last-minute changes during the trip, including changing our overnight stay plans and deciding to visit Kaziranga instead. The team immediately stepped in, reorganized the arrangements, and ensured everything went smoothly.
What truly distinguishes Ela Tripo is the personal touch. Almost every day, Akash would call just to check on us, understand how the day had gone, and ensure everything was on track. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that he was regularly coordinating with hotel staff and our driver, briefing them about our preferences and ensuring that our comfort was being looked after.
Despite the heavy tourist rush and the logistical challenges that come with travelling in remote mountain regions, the team remained calm, responsive, and solution-oriented throughout.
